Al Ahly Cairo tabs rookie Malek Yasser Abdelgowad

Malek Abdelgowad

Defending champion Al Ahly Cairo (Superleague) signed 23-year-old Egyptian 208cm forward Malek Abdelgowad. He recently graduated from Southern (NCAA), where he averaged 12.5ppg and 7.4rpg in 15 games this season.
He began his college career at South Plains College (JUCO) before transferring to Murray State University (NCAA).
As mentioned above, he is just out of college and it is his first full season in pro basketball. Abdelgowad played for other colleges such as University of Massachusetts, Murray State University, and South Plains College.
