Al Ittihad Alexandria (Superleague) signed 24-year-old former international 184cm shooting guard Youssef Helmy Refaat
He began the season with Zamalek. In 9 Superleague games in Egypt, he averaged 8.2ppg, 2.6rpg, 4.3apg, and 1.2spg. Last season, he played for another Egyptian team, Sporting Alexandria.

He also represented Egypt at the FIBA Olympic Games Qualifying Tournament in Piraeus (Greece) two years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 2 points per game and had 1 rebound per game.
