Gibbs' 30-point game gives him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

32-year old American guard Madarious Gibbs (185-G-1993) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Canal Sporting Club Cairo and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 15.
He had the game-high 30 points adding five rebounds and five assists for Canal in his team's victory, helping them to crush Al Shams (#12, 4-7) with 22-point margin 70-48. Canal is placed at 2nd position in Egyptian league. They are still close to the very top. Canal would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 10-2 record. In the team's last game Gibbs had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Canal's top player in his first season with the team. Texas Southern University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Gibbs is league's best scorer averaging so far 18.5ppg. Gibbs is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 6.3rpg), assists (2nd best: 4.9apg) and averages solid 51.0% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Ahmed Hossam of Olympic Sporting Club Alexandria. He is a in his first season at Olympic. In the last game Hossam recorded an impressive 13 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Of course he led Olympic to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Damanhour (#13, 4-8) 95-70. Olympic's 6th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 7-5 record is not bad and everything may still change. Hossam is a newcomer at Olympic and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

Third place about best performers goes to another Canal's star - Omar Abdelhameed. Abdelhameed scored 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of Canal Sporting Club Cairo, helping his team with a 70-48 easy win against the lower-ranked Al Shams (#12, 4-7). Abdelhameed has a very solid season. In 6 games in Egypt he scored 9.7ppg. He also has 4.7rpg and and 3PT: 40.7%.
