Abdelfadil Ebrahim claims Egyptian Superleague Hoops Agents weekly honour

Abdelfadil Ebrahim had a great game in the last round for Al Gezira Cairo and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 14.
The had a double-double of 14 points and 19 rebounds, while his team edged out Zamalek (#10, 4-5) 68-67. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings. Al Gezira maintains the 11th position in Egyptian Superleague. Al Gezira is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-6 record. In the team's last game Ebrahim had a remarkable 63.6% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Ebrahim has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 10.3rpg) and averages solid 68.7% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American shooting guard Kyndall Dykes (192-SG-1987, agency: Slash Sports) of Petrojet Sporting Club Cairo. Dykes impressed basketball fans with 32 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Petrojet lost that game 80-89 to the higher-ranked Smouha (#8, 5-5). Petrojet is still second from the bottom in the standings. 8 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Petrojet managed to get this year. Dykes is a newcomer at Petrojet and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. University of New Orleans alumni Dykes played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.

The third best performed player last round was international guard Mohamed Abdelrahman (184-G-1996) of top-ranked Al Ittihad Alexandria. Abdelrahman scored 15 points and passed 10 assists (!!!). He was a key player of Al Ittihad Al., leading his team to a 75-68 win against the lower-ranked Sporting (#16, 1-10). Al Ittihad Al. have amazing season winning all 10 games without a single defeat. Abdelrahman turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Abdelrahman has a great season in Egypt. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.8ppg (best scorer) and assists with 5.1apg (3rd best).
