Mahmoud's 16 points give him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

Ramadan Mahmoud had a great game in the last round for Al Geish Army Cairo and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
He had the game-high 16 points adding five rebounds and four assists for Al Geish in his team's victory, helping them to beat Damanhour (#10, 2-4) 75-70. Al Geish maintains the 4th position in Egyptian league. They are still close to the very top. Al Geish would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 5-1 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Mahmoud as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Mahmoud has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (7th best: 11.8ppg), rebounds (8th best: 4.8rpg) and averages solid 64.0% FGP and 42.9% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Gasser Haytham of Heliopolis Cairo. He is a in his first season at Heliopolis. In the last game Haytham recorded an impressive 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. It was enough for Heliopolis to edge the lower-ranked Aviation (#13, 1-5) by 5 points 71-66. Heliopolis' 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 4-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Haytham is a newcomer at Heliopolis and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to Omar Attia (189-SF-1997) of WE Sporting Club Cairo (#9). Attia showcased his all-around game by recording 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists in the last round. Despite Attia's great performance the WE Sporting lost 65-67 to slightly higher-ranked Al Gezira (#7, 3-3). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Attia has a very solid season. In 6 games in Egypt he scored 13.2ppg. He also has 6.3rpg, 4.3apg and a FGP of 51.7%.
