Al Zamalek Cairo (Superleague) signed experienced 34-year old American forward Cleanthony Early (199cm-99kg-1991, college: Wichita State). He joins another USA player Adam Moussa who is already in the roster.
He already started the season at Al Faisaly in Jordanian Premier League. The last season summer he played at Los Paisas de Medellin in Colombian LBP where in 5 games he had 9.6ppg, 4.0rpg, 1.4apg and 1.0spg.
In 2014 he was drafted by New York Knicks (NBA) in second round (34th overall). The former Wichita State star is in his twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball.
He is quite experienced player. He has played in eighteen different countries on four different continents (Asia, Latin America, Africa and of course North America). Early has played professionally in Bahrain (Al-Ittihad), Colombia, Dominican Republic (Parque Hostos), France, Greece, Hungary, Iraq (Al-Hashd), Japan, Lebanon (Sagesse, Al Markaziyyah and Dynamo), Qatar (Al Arabi), Saudi Arabia (Al Ahli, Al Nasr and Ohod), South Africa (Tigers), Taiwan (New Taipei CTBC DEA and TB Herobears), Venezuela (Gladiadores), Kuwait (Kazma), Libya (Al Ittihad Tri and Al Nasr) and Mongolia (BCH Garid and Brothers).
Among many awards Early's team won Libyan League Group 4 Regular Season in 2024. He was voted to Asia-Basket.com Japanese B League D2 All-Imports Team back in 2019. He played also for Sullivan County Community College for 2 years.
