Al Ahly tabs Asia Strong, ex Yauco

Asia Strong

Al Ahly Cairo (Superleague) signed 25-year-old American 188cm forward Asia Strong (college: Syracuse) for the upcoming African Women Basketball League. She most recently played at Yauco in Puerto Rican BSNF. In 18 games she averaged an impressive 15.6ppg, 8.7rpg, 1.7apg, and 1.2spg last season. Asia Strong played for Gallardo Spor Kulubu (TKBL) in the Turkish league last season and also for David Kornel Basketball Academy in the Hungarian league.
Strong is a very experienced player. She has quite traveled the world as her pro career brought her to five different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America). Strong has played professionally in Australia, Hungary, Poland (Torun) and Turkey.
It is worth mentioning that she also played at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped her secure a job in professional basketball.
She graduated from Syracuse University in 2023 and it'll be her third season in pro basketball. Strong played for other colleges like: Wichita State University, Trinity Valley Community College, Bradley University.
