Egypt U16 - Morocco U16 77-67

Egypt U16 began their AfroBasket 2025 run with a solid 77-67 victory over Morocco U16. The North African derby was tight in the first half, with Egypt edging the opening quarter 17-16 before the teams went into halftime separated by just one point at 31-31. The game swung decisively in the third quarter as Egypt produced a dominant 24-14 run to build a double-digit cushion. Both sides traded baskets in the final period, finishing 22-22, but Morocco couldn’t recover from the third-quarter deficit. Egypt’s balanced scoring and second-half surge proved enough to secure a 10-point win.
Omar Khataby (197-F-2009) top-scored for the winners with 20 points and Karim Hendy (192-G-2009) netted 17. Mehdi Berrada (2009) ended up with 23 points in defeat.
