Sporting keeps El-Shaarawy for another season

Alexandria Sporting Club (Superleague) re-signed 32-year-old international 185cm forward Hala El-Shaarawy (college: St.Peter's) for the new season. She played there last season and has also played for another Egyptian team, Alexandria Sporting Club.

El-Shaarawy has also been a member of the Egyptian international program for some years. She has regularly played for the Egyptian senior team since 2011 and previously for the Under 19 National Team in 2011.

El-Shaarawy has played for two other teams previously: Al Ahly and Somouha. She played in the final of the Egyptian League in 2025.

El-Shaarawy graduated from Saint Peter's University in 2016 and it'll be her tenth season in pro basketball.
