Russia and Egypt exchanged wins during the friendly games. At first Egypt grabbed an 80-73 trailing 14 points. Ehab Amin (193-G-1995, college: Oregon) led the winners with 29 points, whilst Vladimir Karpenko (192-G-2000) scored 15 in a loss.
Anton Kvitkovskikh (200-F-2000) led Russia in the second game against Egypt. He nailed 22 points as his team won 94-67. Russia dominated the whole game to post the win.
