Gardner is back at P.Luanda

Defending champion Atletico Petroleos de Luanda (Division I) agreed terms with 25-year old American (has also Egyptian passport) center Patrick Gardner (211cm-111kg-1999, college: Marist) for new 2025-26 season. It is actually his comeback to Luanda as he has played here before. He played most recently at Osceola Magic (NBA G League) in the U.S. In 32 NBA-G-League games he had 4.7ppg and 3.8rpg last season. He also played for Atletico Petroleos de Luanda earlier that season.
Gardner represented Egypt at the FIBA Olympic Games Qualifying Tournament in Piraeus (Greece) last year. During this event, he scored an average of 4.5 ppg and had 3.5 rpg.
He is a very experienced player. Gardner has played professionally in the NBA (Brooklyn Nets), Egypt (Al Ahly Cairo), and NBA G League (Long Island Nets). He played in the final of the Egyptian League in 2024.
Gardner was named to the MAAC All-Tournament Team in 2023.
He graduated from Marist College in 2023 and it'll be his third season as a pro player. Gardner played for other colleges like St. Michael's College, Nassau Community College.
