Ahmed Aboelela (Bebo) signs at Al Ahly Cairo

Al Ahly Cairo (Superleague) signed 26-year-old former international 211cm power forward Ahmed Khalaf for the upcoming season. He spent the last seven years playing for Al Ittihad Alexandria.
He was also a member of the Egyptian international program for some years. Khalaf played for Egyptian Senior National Team between 2017 and 2023 and previously for the Under 19 National Team back in 2017.
He also represented Egypt at the FIBA World Cup 2023 African Qualifiers two years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 4.3 ppg and had 4.8 rpg.
Khalaf has played in Spain (Martorell) and Spain as well.
He won the Egyptian League championship title in 2024. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LEB Silver Honorable Mention in 2018.
