Kenny Hayes is a newcomer at Zamalek

Al Zamalek Cairo (Superleague) strengthened their roster with addition of experienced 38-year old American guard Kenny Hayes (189cm-79kg-1987, college: Miami, OH). He just played at Al Ahly Cairo. He also played for Ohod Medina in Saudi Arabian SBL where in 10 Superleague games he recorded very impressive stats: 23.5ppg, 3.8rpg and 4.2apg this season. A very spectacular year in his career as he was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Saudi Arabian SBL Honorable Mention.

In 2010 he was drafted by Maine Red Claws (D-League) in second round (7th overall).
Hayes graduated from Miami University and it is his 15th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2012.

Hayes is quite experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America) in twelve different countries. He has played previously professionally in China (Hayesbei), France (Le Mans), Iraq (Dijlah), Israel (Hapoel Gilboa Galil and Maccabi Ashdod/Gderot), Italy (Forli and Cremona), Kazakhstan (Astana), Lebanon (Beirut Club), Saudi Arabia, Spain (Unicaja), Turkey (Gaziantep, Buyukcekmece, Afyon and Sigortam.net Istanbul), Venezuela (Trotamundos) and NBA G League (Maine Celtics).

He is close to retirement age as a player. It's very possible he may end his playing career at Zamalek. He played also for Cincinnati State Technical and Community College for one year.
