Michael Dixon (ex Al Ittihad Al.) agreed terms with Club Africain

Club Africain Tunis (ProA) strengthened their roster with addition of experienced 34-year old Georgian-American ex-international 186cm guard Michael Dixon (college: Memphis). Dixon started the season at Al Ittihad Alexandria in Egyptian Superleague. The last season he played also at Al Ittihad Alexandria (Superleague). He helped them to win the league title.
Dixon also represented Georgia at the European Championship (FIBA EuroBasket) eight years ago. His stats at that event were 5 games: 13.8ppg, 2.0rpg, 5.0apg, 1.4spg, FGP: 57.7%, 3PT: 45.5%, FT: 81.8%.
He is a very experienced player. Dixon has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to fourteen different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Africa and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in Canada (Alliance), France (SIG Strasbourg), Greece (AEK Betsson and Kolossos H Hotels Rodou), Israel (Bnei Dixonrtzeliya), Italy (Reggio Emilia), Lebanon (Beirut Club), Lithuania (Pieno Zvaigzdes Pasvalys), Qatar (Al Gharafa), Romania (Cluj Napoca), Turkey (Bahcesehir), Tunisia (US Monastir), Czech Republic (Nymburk), Georgia (Sokhumi) and Rwanda (APR Basketball Club Kigali).
Among many awards he was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Arab Club Championship Honorable Mention in 2024.
He graduated from University of Memphis in 2014 and it is his eleventh (!!!) season in pro basketball. Dixon played also for University of Missouri for 3 years.
