Al Ahly Cairo (Superleague) signed experienced 38-year old American guard Kenny Hayes (189cm-79kg-1987, college: Miami, OH). Hayes started the season at Ohod in Saudi Arabian SBL league. In 10 games he had very impressive stats: 23.5ppg, 3.8rpg and 4.2apg (top 5). 2024-25 was a great season as he was named to Asia-Basket.com All-Saudi Arabian SBL Honorable Mention.
In 2010 he was drafted by Maine Red Claws (D-League) in second round (7th overall).
The former Miami University star is in his 15th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2012.
Hayes is quite experienced player. He has played in eleven different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). Hayes has played previously professionally in China (Hebei), France (Le Mans), Iraq (Dijlah), Israel (Hapoel Gilboa Galil and Maccabi Ashdod/Gderot), Italy (Forli and Cremona), Kazakhstan (Astana), Lebanon (Beirut Club), Spain (Unicaja), Turkey (Gaziantep, Buyukcekmece, Afyon and Sigortam.net Istanbul), Venezuela (Trotamundos) and NBA G League (Maine Celtics). His team made it to the MAC Tournament Semifinals in 2008 and 2010.
It's very possible he may end his playing career at Al Ahly Cairo. He played also for Cincinnati State Technical and Community College for one year.
