Defending champion Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut (LBL) agreed terms with 31-year old American ex-international swingman George King (198cm-100kg-1994, college: Colorado, agency: Slash Sports). King just played at Al Ittihad Alexandria in Egyptian Superleague. He also played for Bossing in Filipino PBA where in 10 Superleague games he had very impressive stats: 34.5ppg, 10.4rpg, 2.5apg and 1.1spg last season.
In 2018 he was drafted by Phoenix Suns (NBA) in second round (59th overall). King graduated from University of Colorado and it will be his seventh season in pro basketball. He was a member of USA Senior National Team in 2022.
King is quite experienced player. King's career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in nine different countries. He tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Australia and of course North America. King has played previously professionally in Australia (Hawks), Germany (Chemnitz), Israel (Ironi Nes Ziona), Italy (Dolomiti Trentino), Poland (Zastal), NBA (Dallas Mavericks and LA Clippers), NBA G League (NAZ Suns and San Diego Clippers), The Basketball Tournament (Team Colorado) and NBA Summer League (Utah Jazz and Portland Trail Blazers).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team made it to the NBA G League Semifinals in 2022. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-German Bundesliga Honorable Mention back in 2021.
