Al Ittihad Alexandria signs George King, ex Blackwater

George King

Al Ittihad Alexandria (Superleague) signed 31-year old USA ex-international swingman George King (198cm-100kg-1994, college: Colorado, agency: Slash Sports). He started the season at Blackwater in Filipino PBA league. In 10 games he had very impressive stats: 34.5ppg, 10.4rpg, 2.5apg and 1.1spg. The last season season he played at Ironi Nes Ziona (Winner League) in Israeli league.
In 2018 he was drafted by Phoenix Suns (NBA) in second round (59th overall). He graduated from University of Colorado and it is his seventh season in pro basketball. King was a member of USA Senior National Team in 2022.
He is quite experienced player. King has played in ten different countries on three different continents (Europe, Australia and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in Australia (Hawks), Germany (Chemnitz), Israel, Italy (Dolomiti Trentino), Poland (Zastal), NBA (Dallas Mavericks and LA Clippers), NBA G League (NAZ Suns and San Diego Clippers), The Basketball Tournament (Team Colorado) and NBA Summer League (Utah Jazz and Portland Trail Blazers).
Among many awards his team made it to the NBA G League Semifinals in 2022. King was voted to Eurobasket.com All-German Bundesliga Honorable Mention back in 2021.
