Defending champion Al Ittihad Alexandria (Superleague) added to their roster 33-year old Australian-South Sudanese forward Deng Deng (203cm-98kg-1992, college: Baylor). He just played at Al Ahly Tripoli in Libyan D1 league.
He represented Australia at the FIBA World Cup 2023 African Qualifiers two years ago. During this event he scored an average of 4.5 points per game and had 2.5 rebounds per game.
Deng is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in seven different countries. He tasted the life as a pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Australia and of course North America. Deng has played previously professionally in Australia (Kings, Bullets, Hawks, Cobras and Cougars), Finland (Korihait), Lebanon (Tadamon and Louaize), Poland (MKS), Qatar (Al Shamal), Saudi Arabia (Ohod) and NBA G League (Texas Legends).
His team made it to the Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal bin Fahed Cup Final Four in 2024.
He graduated from Baylor University in 2015 and it is his tenth season as a professional player. Deng played also for Lee College for 2 years.
