Al Ahly Sporting Club headed to the Semifinals of the Africa Zone Five Women’s Basketball Championship in Tanzania. They overcame Vijana Basketball Club 130-47.
Al Ahly nailed 42 points in the opening period and never looked behind dominating the whole game. Raneem Elgedawy (193-F-1997, college: WKU) top-scored for the winners with 26 points and Meral Abdelgawad (180-G-1998, college: WKU) poured in 19. Taudencia Oluoch (189-C-1995, college: ACU) produced 14 points in defeat.
