Paulina Hersler (ex Estudiantes) joins Al Ahly

Paulina Hersler

Al Ahly Cairo (Superleague) agreed terms with 30-year old Swedish international power forward Paulina Hersler (190cm-1994, college: Florida) for new 2024-25 season. She played last season at Estudiantes in Spanish LF Endesa. In 18 games she had 5.6ppg and 2.6rpg. She helped them to make it to the Spanish LF Endesa Cup Semifinals. Hersler also played for Hapoel Petah Tikva in Israeli league.
She has been also a member of the Swedish international program for some years. Hersler has regularly played for the Swedish senior team since 2019 and previously for the Under 20 National Team back in 2014.
She also represented Sweden at the World University Games in Taipei (Taiwan) seven years ago. During this event she scored an average of 9.7 points per game and had 3.3 rebounds per game.
Hersler is quite experienced player. She has played also professionally in Israel (Elitzur Ramla), Italy (Battipaglia), Slovenia (Celje), Turkey (Besiktas) and United Kingdom (Lions).
Among many awards she won English WBBL championship title in 2023. Hersler was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Italian Serie A1 Honorable Mention back in 2021.
She graduated from University of Florida in 2018 and it will be her seventh season as a professional player. Hersler played also for University of California at Los Angeles for 4 years.
