Sporting inks Habiba Elgizawy

Alexandria Sporting Club (Superleague) agreed terms with 23-year-old international guard Habiba Elgizawy (169cm-2001). She will still stay in Egypt where she played most recently at Al Gezira. Her team made it to the Egyptian Cup Finalist in 2023 final.
For two previous seasons (2020-22), she played at another Egyptian team, Al Ahly.
She has also been a member of the Egyptian international program for some years. Elgizawy has regularly played for the Egyptian senior team since 2023 and previously for the Under 16 National Team in 2017.
She also represented Egypt at the African Championship U18 in Maputo (Mozambique) six years ago. During this event, she scored an average of 2.7 ppg and had 1.5 rpg.
