Madarious Gibbs (ex Dolphins) is a newcomer at El Tayaran

Madarious Gibbs

El Tayaran (Superleague) has strengthened their roster for the 2023-24 season by adding 30-year-old American guard Madarious Gibbs. Gibbs, who stands at 185cm and weighs 84kg, played most recently for the Dolphins in the Vietnamese VBA league. In 23 games last season, he recorded impressive stats of 21.3ppg, 6.8rpg, 8.2apg (leading the league), and 2.0spg. Gibbs played a crucial role in helping the Dolphins reach the Vietnamese VBA final, earning him a spot on the Asia-Basket.com All-Vietnamese VBA Second Team.

He is a highly experienced player, having played professionally on three continents - Europe, Asia, and North America - in four different countries. In addition to his current team, he has previously played for Satya Wacana in Indonesia, Action Now 2019 Monopoli and Sarno Basket in Italy, and Al Khor in Qatar.

He won the Vietnamese VBA championship title in 2022 and was selected to the Asia-Basket.com All-Qatar D1 Honorable Mention in 2020.
He graduated from Texas Southern University in 2015, and this will be his ninth season as a professional player.
