Sporting sealed 2023 FIBA Africa Women's Basketball League title beating KPA Women´s Basketball Team 103-59. The Egyptian side dominated the whole tournament to remain undefeated. The hosts started with a 22-15 run and nailed 36 points in the second frame to answer all the quarters about the winner. Moreover, Sporting won the third quarter 29-17 and closed the campaign with a final 16-10 rally.
Hagar Amer (184-F-1993) top-scored for the winners with 32 points and Cierra Dillard (176-G-1996, college: Buffalo) added 17. Nadine Ahmed produced 11, whilst Destiny Pitts had 10. Aminata Samassekou (165-G-2005) ended up with 16 points in the losing effort.
