Sporting signs Fatou Diagne for the 2023 FIBA Africa Women's Basketball League

The Alexandria Sporting Club (Superleague) has signed Fatou Diagne, a 27-year-old Senegalese international center to take part in the 2023 FIBA Africa Women's Basketball League


Diagne, who stands at 193cm and was born in 1996, previously played for Al Ahly. In the last season, she played for Estepona in the Spanish LF Challenge, where she averaged 4.1 points per game and 4.1 rpg in 30 games. She has been a regular member of the Senegalese Senior National Team since 2019.
Her team reached the AAC Tournament Semifinals in 2022.


She graduated from the University of Houston in 2022 and is now in her second season as a professional player. She also played for other colleges such as Purdue University and Gulf Coast State College.
