Sporting Alexandria (Superleague) landed experienced 36-year old American 193cm shooting guard LaceDarius Dunn (college: Baylor) for upcoming season. Dunn played most recently at Final Spor in Turkish TBL league. In 30 games he averaged impressive 19.0ppg, 4.6rpg, 3.6apg and 1.1spg last season. He was also voted League Player of the Week.
The previous (2021-22) season he played at Hapoel Hevel Modi'in in Israeli National League where in 35 games he had very remarkable stats: 17.8ppg, 4.3rpg, 2.5apg and 1.1spg in that year. He helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league. They also advanced to the league semifinals. It was a very successful season in his career as he was selected to Eurobasket.com All-Israeli National League Honorable Mention.
He is a very experienced player. Dunn has played also professionally in Kosovo (Prishtina), Poland (AZS), Portugal (Benfica and Vitoria SC/Costa Guerreiro Lda.), Israel (Bnei Hasharon and Hapoel Afula) and Turkey (Sakarya Buyuksehir Basketbol).
Among many awards he was voted Eurobasket.com All-Turkish TB2L Defensive Player of the Year back in 2015.
He is close to retirement age as a player. It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Sporting.
He graduated from Baylor University in 2011 and it will be his 13th (hopefully lucky) (!!!) season in pro basketball.
His game is described as: A complete package for the SG position. Has great shooting range, can easily beat his man out of the dribble, is a good penetrator inside thanks to good athletic skills. Can help his team at the defensive side too, he's always spectacular.
