Somouha (Superleague) confirmed in their roster experienced 34-year old ex-international forward Mai Helwa (1989) for season 2023-24.

Helwa has played there for the last two seasons. She helped them to make it to the semifinals. Helwa was a member of Egyptian Senior National Team between 2011 and 2017.

She has spent her entire career in Egypt playing for two other teams: Sporting and Al Ahly.
Helwa played in the final of Arab Club Championships in 2022.
