Egypt - Senegal 60:71

Senegal overcame Egypt 71-60 in the 1/4 Finals of the AfroBasket 2023. They advanced to the Quarterfinals to face Cameroon next. Egypt started with a 24-18 run, whilst Senegal replied with a 20-11 rally in the second frame. Once again Egypt posted a 17-13 run, while Senegal needed a 20-8 rally to seal the ticket to the quarters.
Fatou Diagne (193-C-1996, college: Houston) led the way with 17 points and Aya Traore (188-F-1983, college: Purdue) as well as Yacine Diop (178-G/F-1995, college: Louisville) notched 10 each. Raneem Elgedawy (193-F-1997, college: WKU) answered with 17 points in the losing effort and Nadine Sayed poured in 15.
