Al Riyadi welcomes back Ismail, ex Al Ettehad

Defending champion Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut (LBL) landed experienced 45-year old former Egyptian-Lebanese international 205cm power forward Ismail Ahmad to play starting the Final Four stage of the Lebanese Basketball League 2021-2022 season


It is actually his comeback to Beirut as he has played here before. Ismail moved there from Al Ettehad in Egyptian Superleague where he played this season. The last summer he played also at Al Ettehad (Superleague). He helped them to win the Supercup. Ismail was a member of Egyptian Senior National Team in 2019.

He has played also professionally in Qatar (Qatar Club), Saudi Arabia (Al Ittihad) and Lebanon (Homentmen and Champville).


Ismail is close to retirement age as a player. It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Al Riyadi.
