Solo Diabate

Al Ettehad Alexandria (Superleague) strengthened their roster with addition of experienced 34-year old Ivorian point guard Souleyman Diabate (183cm-76kg, agency: Interperformances) to play Arab Club's tournament .

Diabate who signed for Somouha to play the 2021-2022 season will replace injured Corey webster

Last season he played at Al Zamalek where in 5 Basketball Africa League games he recorded 10.4ppg, 1.6rpg, 4.6apg and 1.6spg.

Diabate has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.

He represented Ivory Coast at the Afrobasket Championships four years ago. His stats at that event were 3 games: 6.3ppg, 2.3rpg, 2.0apg, 1.7spg, FGP: 43.8%, 3PT: 14.3%, FT: 50.0%.
Diabate is quite experienced player. Thanks to Diabate's pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Asia and Africa) in four different countries. He has played previously professionally in China (Anhui Putianxingfa), France (Gravelines Dunkerque, Chalons Reims, Chorale de Roanne, Sluc Nancy and Provence Basket), Slovakia (Levice) and North Macedonia (MZT Skopje).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Slovakian League Honorable Mention back in 2018.
The scouts decsribe him following way: A true 'Mr Consistency' when he's on the court. Diabate's a terrific ball handler, passes the ball very well and can score both inside and from the perimeter. Also, he defends hard and he set up his teammates.
