Mai Helwa signs at Somouha

Somouha (Superleague) landed 32-year old former international forward Mai Helwa for upcoming season. Helwa played most recently at Al Ahly. She helped them to make it to the Egyptian League final after they ended regular season as second best team.



Helwa also represented Egypt at the African Championships in Maputo (Mozambique) eight years ago. Her stats at that event were 6 games: 3.3ppg, 2.8rpg, 1.5apg, 1.7spg.


She has played previously for Sporting.


Her team won Egyptian Supercup in 2020.
