Reem Moussa joins Sporting- May 21, 2021

She joins another USA player Monique Reid who is already in the roster. Moussa moved there from Al Gezira. She helped them to make it to the semifinals. She was also a member of Egyptian international program for some years. Moussa played for Egyptian Senior National Team two years ago and previously for U19 National Team back in 2011. She represented Egypt at the Third Arab Woman to Win a European Championship four years ago. Moussa is quite experienced player. Her career allowed her to visit three different continents, while she played in four different countries. Moussa tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Africa and of course North America. She has played previously professionally in Portugal (Coimbra), Czech Republic (KP Brno) and WBDA (Dallas C.). The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Her team was regular season runner-up in Czech Republic D1 in 2019. Moussa was also voted Eurobasket.com All-Mediterranean Cup Honorable Mention back in 2018. Moussa attended Rice University until 2015 and it is her seventh season as a professional player. On Moussa: Known as a court general, Reem is an American-Egyptian basketball player whose main strength is her court vision and control. A true point guard who can also score when needed. Reem helped KP Brno to win their first title ever and have their highest PPG in the club?s history averaging almost 80 points. When she played in Egypt, she was determined to make history and help her club achieve something that has never been done in Egypt before. Indeed, Al Ahly was able to win all 4 competitions that the club participated in while Reem led the team in assists, averaging almost twice as much as the rest of the team. Reem has a winner mentality. She will do whatever it takes to win. At Rice University, Reem was second in made three-pointers while shooting a team-best 42% from behind the arc. She also led the team in assists during her junior year while averaging 21.6 minutes. Reem was a member of the U16, U18, and U19 Egyptian national teams from 2009 to 2012.
