Al Zamalek tabs Souleyman Diabate

Al Zamalek (Superleague) inked 33-year old Ivorian point guard Souleyman Diabate (183cm-76kg, agency: Interperformances). He played most recently at Fos-Provence in French ProB. In 18 games he recorded 7.7ppg, 1.4rpg, 4.2apg and 1.2spg previous season.
Diabate has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.
He represented Ivory Coast at the Afrobasket Championships four years ago. His stats at that event were 3 games: 6.3ppg, 2.3rpg, 2.0apg, 1.7spg, FGP: 43.8%, 3PT: 14.3%, FT: 50.0%.
Diabate is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in China (Anhui Putianxingfa), Slovakia (Levice), France (Gravelines Dunkerque, Chalons Reims, Chorale de Roanne, Sluc Nancy and SPO Rouen) and North Macedonia (MZT Skopje).
Among many awards he won Slovakian League championship title in 2018. Diabate received also Eurobasket.com All-Slovakian League Honorable Mention award back in 2018.
Diabate's game is described as: A true 'Mr Consistency' when he's on the court. He's a terrific ball handler, passes the ball very well and can score both inside and from the perimeter. Also, he defends hard and he set up his teammates.
