Al Ahly Cairo (Superleague) strengthened their roster with addition of 19-year old guard Habiba Elgizawy (169-1). The last time (17) she played at Egyptian Women U16 National Team in Egyptian league. Elgizawy missed last three seasons and had longer break from professional basketball.
She represented Egypt at the African Championships U18 in Maputo (Mozambique) two years ago. Her stats at that event were 6 games: 2.7ppg, 1.5rpg, 1.2spg.
