Al Ahly Cairo (Superleague) strengthened their roster with addition of 29-year old Egyptian center Omar Oraby (218-122kg-91). He graduated from University of Southern California (NCAA) in USA. He played last season for Al-Gezira-Cairo 2019-2020

Oraby has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2014.It will be his first season in pro basketball.
Oraby represented Egypt at the Afrobasket Championships in Rades twenty years ago. His stats at that event were 6 games: 3.7ppg, 3.0rpg, Blocks-4 (1.3bpg).

Oraby is a very experienced player.

The scouts decsribe him following way: A very interesting prospect for the center position. Has yet great athletic skills, and a good timing for rebounds and shot blocking.
