Hi Coach, thank you for giving us time. Your coaching CV is so impressive considering it had only started couple of years ago ... but let's maybe start from the beginning. How it all started?

I started my coaching career 5 years ago first 2 years was as an assistant coach in Al Gezira Cairo club then I have been announced as the new head coach for Gezira club and in my first year I succeeded to won the Egyptian super league to be the youngest coach at age of 39 to won this tittle then this year as it's my third one I succeed to win the Egyptian Cup after 14 years this trophy was away from the club.

Meanwhile during these 5 years I am always trying to gain more experience by learning by attending many international clinics in Europe.

But there was two huge steps thanks a lot to my teacher coach Sergio Scariolo (Spain national team coach and the assistant coach of Toronto Raptors) who helped me a lot as I attended the training camp of Spain national team at Madrid in 2017, Then in 2018 I also attended the training camp of the Toronto Raptors in Vancouver these 2 steps were very huge and I gained a lot of experience

How do you evaluate the new system applied this season in the Egyptian Super league?

The new system of our Egyptian league is so good and very competitive as it follows the international level like now of the leagues around the world, series bits playoffs and we are now the semi final stage we're going to play a best of 5 series

How do you see the competition and Gezira chances?

I think the 4 teams that qualified to the final 4 have equal chances and we are going to fight for our chances specially we are entering this send final with a lot of confidence after wining the cup from 2 weeks ago

Egyptian national team will not be a part of the upcoming world cup, what do you think is missing Egypt to be part of the big events?

It was very disappointed for us that we didn't qualify to the World Cup but I think we have a very good young roster that can have a great career with the national team and what we need is to play more than 20 international games with a very high level national teams around the world

What is the next step for Coach Kerdany ?

Who knows my dreams has no limit and I am dreaming one day to be with an NBA team or a big team in Europe
