TODD O'BRIEN

Defending champion Al Ahly Cairo (Superleague) landed 29-year old American (has also Armenian passport) center Todd O'Brien (211-110kg-89, college: UAB). He played recently with Ahly Tripoli in Libyan D1 league and Won Arab Club Championship with Al Ettehad Alexandria few weeks ago.
Actually Todd replaced the former American in the team Quinton Doggett (206-F-90, college: Southern) who got released already.
Part of last season O'Brien spent at Al Gharafa (also in D1) in Qatari. He also played for Al Naser (also in D1) in UAE. He helped them to make it to the final after they ended regular season as second best team.
Among other achievements O'Brien received Asia-Basket.com All-FIBA Asia Champions Cup Honorable Mention award in 2017.
He is a very experienced player. O'Brien has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to seven different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). O'Brien has played previously professionally in France (Nantes), Japan, Latvia (Ventspils and Jekabpils), Lebanon (Sagesse), Poland (MKS Dabrowa Gornicza), Russia (Urartu Yerevan) and Qatar (Al Arabi).
He attended University of Alabama at Birmingham until 2012 and it is his seventh season in pro basketball.
