Al Ittihad have been crowned the Egyptian League champions. They overcame Al Ahli 76-70 in Game 4 of the best-of-five Finals to lift the trophy. The teams went neck and neck throughout the game. The scoreboard read 38-38 at halftime. Al Ahly eked out a 57-56 lead heading into the fourth quarter. But Al Ittihad opened the fourth period with 8 straight points to surge ahead. They protected the lead throughout the reminder of the game and raced to the win. Ahmed Adel finished with 27 points to lead the champions. Bassem Al-Laithi had 9 points for the winners. Brandon Childress (183-PG-1997, college: Wake Forest) responded with 20 points for Al Ahly. Omar Tarek delivered 18 points in the loss.
