La Mama Kapinga-Maweja (ex Pozega) signs at Dynamo Novosibirsk Region

Dynamo Novosibirsk Region (PBL) landed 25-year old Congolese ex-international 194cm power forward La Mama Kapinga-Maweja, agency: LBM Management for upcoming season. Kapinga-Maweja has played for the last two years at ZKK Plamen Pozega in Croatian Premijer Liga. In 29 games she was the best scorer with impressive 21.4ppg and recorded 15.3rpg (leader !!!), 1.7apg, 1.3spg and 2.1bpg last season. She helped them to win the regular season and make it to the final. It was a very successful season in her career as she was awarded Eurobasket.com All-Croatian Premijer Liga Player of the Year, Import Player of the Year and Center of the Year. Kapinga-Maweja also played 18 games in WABA where she averaged remarkable 21.5ppg, 14.6rpg, 2.2apg, 1.4spg and 1.4bpg. She can count that season as a very successful as was awarded Eurobasket.com All-WABA Player of the Year, Center of the Year and voted to All-Defensive Team. Kapinga-Maweja was a member of Congolese Senior National Team back in 2017.
She has played also professionally in DR Congo (ASB INSS Kinshasa and V Club).
