Elazig signs Chanel Mokango

Elazig Il Ozel Idare (KBSL) signed 33-year old Congolese ex-international power forward Chanel Mokango (188cm-88, college: MSU). Mokango started the season at Innova-TSN Leganes in Spanish LF Endesa. But in 6 games she had just 1.8ppg and 1.2rpg. The last season she played at Aluinvent DVTK Miskolc in Hungarian A Division where in 26 games she recorded 11.7ppg and 6.7rpg. She helped them to make it to the cup final. Mokango also played 3 games in Eurocup where she averaged 9.0ppg, 7.0rpg and 1.0apg.
In 2010 she was drafted by Atlanta Dream (WNBA) in first round (9th overall).
The former Mississippi State University standout is in her twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball. She was a member of Congolese Senior National Team between 2017 and 2019.
Mokango is quite experienced player. She has played also professionally in Belgium, WNBA (LA Sparks) and Hungary (Cegledi).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others she played in the final of Hungarian League in 2019. Mokango was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Hungarian League 1st Team in 2019.
