Pauline Akonga Nsimbo agreed terms with Calais

Cote d'Opale Basket Calais (LF2) strengthened their roster with addition of experienced 38-year old Congolese international center Pauline Akonga Nsimbo (188-82, agency: LBM Management). She played most recently at Hainaut in the LFB. In 7 games she recorded 14.6ppg, 6.4rpg and 1.0apg last season. LF2 will be definitely a better match and she can see more playing time.
The previous (2019) summer Akonga Nsimbo played at Ferroviaro in Mozambican league where in three African Champions Cup games she averaged 15.0ppg, 8.0rpg, 1.7apg and 2.3spg in 2019 season. She has been regularly called to Congolese Senior National Team since 2017.
Akonga Nsimbo is a very experienced player. Thanks to her pro career she managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Africa and of course North America) in five different countries. Akonga Nsimbo has played previously professionally in Belgium (Namur), Portugal (Olivais), WNBA (Houston C.), France (Villeneuve D'Ascq and Arras) and Angola (Inter-Clube).
Among many awards her team won African Champions Cup in 2016 and 2019. Akonga Nsimbo received also Eurobasket.com All-French LFB Honorable Mention award in 2010, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2019.
It may be one of last seasons in her extensive career, which she may end at Calais.
