Miskolc keeps Mokango for another season

Aluinvent DVTK Miskolc (A Division) re-signed 31-year old Congolese international forward Chanel Mokango (196-88, college: Mississippi State). She has played there for the last two seasons. She helped them to make it to the final after they ended regular season as second best team. She can count that season as a very successful as was selected to Eurobasket.com All-Hungarian League 1st Team, All-Imports Team and League Player of the Week (2 times). Mokango played 8 games in Eurocup where she averaged impressive 16.8ppg, 8.5rpg and 1.9bpg in 2018-19 season.
The previous (17-18) season Mokango played at Cegledi EKK. In 25 A Division games she had 13.2ppg, 8.7rpg (#3 in the league), 1.1apg and 1.2bpg. She contributed to her team making it to the semifinals. A very impressive season as she was selected to Eurobasket.com All-Hungarian League Honorable Mention. Mokango also played 6 games in Eurocup where she recorded 13.2ppg, 7.8rpg and 1.0apg.
In 2010 Mokango was drafted by Atlanta Dream (WNBA) in first round (9th overall).
She attended Mississippi State. It will be her eleventh (!!!) season in pro basketball. She has been regularly called to Congolese Senior National Team since 2017.
Mokango is a very experienced player. She has played also professionally in Belgium, Spain (Zamarat, Gernika and Promete), Turkey and WNBA (LA Sparks).
Mokango's team won Turkish TKBL Group A Regular Season in 2016.
