CHRISTIAN EYENGA
Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Congolese who are currently playing abroad.

Christian Eyenga
Christian Eyenga
#1. This week's number one is an international small forward Christian Eyenga (201-89, currently plays in Spain). He could not help Baloncesto Fuenlabrada in their last game. Despite Eyenga's very good performance his team lost 77-86 on the road to the much lower-ranked (#7) La ICL Manresa. He was the second best scorer with 16 points. Eyenga also added 4 rebounds in 20 minutes on the court. Eyenga has relatively good stats this year: 10.9ppg, 3.3rpg, 1.2apg, 2FGP: 52.0%, 3FGP: 31.3% and FT: 71.9% in 30 games he played so far. He is currently a member of the DR Congolese senior national team.

Ruphin Kayembe
Ruphin Kayembe
#2. Second place goes to an international power forward Ruphin Kayembe (201-92, currently plays in France). Kayembe was not able to help ALM Evreux (13-20) in their last game. Despite his good performance ALM Evreux lost 85-91 in Nancy to the much higher-ranked (#5) Sluc. Kayembe scored 11 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 26 minutes. His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. This year Kayembe has relatively solid stats: 11.1ppg, 5.7rpg, 1.2apg, 2FGP: 59.9%(82-137), 3FGP: 33.3% and FT: 57.7% in 19 games. He has a dual citizenship: DR Congolese and Belgian. Kayembe is in the roster of the DR Congolese senior national team.

Omari Gudul
Omari Gudul
#3. The DR Congolese player who performed third best last week abroad was an international forward Omari Gudul (206-94, agency: Octagon Europe, college: Angelo St., currently plays in France). He managed to help ADA Blois Basket 41 in a victory against the league outsider C'Chartres (7-26) crushing them 88-65 in the French ProB (second division) last Saturday. Gudul scored 5 points and added 3 assists in 23 minutes. ADA Blois Basket 41 (17-15) is placed eighth in the ProB. His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. Gudul has reliable stats this year: 11.2ppg, 5.7rpg, 2FGP: 54.3%, 3FGP: 31.6% and FT: 66.2% in 32 games. He is also a member of the DR Congolese senior national team.

Shekinah Munanga
Shekinah Munanga
#4. Swingman Shekinah Munanga (201-97, currently plays in France) was not able to secure a victory for Etoile Angers (14-4) in their game against SO Maritime Boulogne (7-11) in the French NM1 (third division). Munanga recorded 6 points. The first-placed Etoile Angers (14-4) was crushed 106-77 in Boulogne-sur-Mer by the much lower-ranked SO Maritime Boulogne (#8) in the Places 11-20 group. This season Munanga averages: 5.8ppg, 3.9rpg and 1.1apg. He is also DR Congolese national team player.

Carl Ona-Embo
Carl Ona-Embo
#5. International point guard Carl Ona-Embo (185-89, currently plays in France) couldn't help Caen (8-25) in their game against Entente Orleans 45 (24-9) in the French ProB (second division), despite his very good performance in Saturday night's game. He was the second best scorer with 16 points. Ona-Embo also added 3 assists in 38 minutes. But Caen lost 70-78 in Orleans to the much higher-ranked (#3) Entente 45. It was Caen's fifth consecutive loss in a row. His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is quite important. Ona-Embo has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 16.4ppg, 2.6rpg and 3.6apg in seven games. Ona-Embo is another player who holds two passports: DR Congolese and French. Worth to mention Ona-Embo played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball. Despite he played previously for the French U20 national team, Ona-Embo is currently in the DR Congolese national team roster.

The list of other players, who all have DR Congolese passport but never been selected to any of DR Congolese national teams:

#1. Experienced Wen Boss Mukubu (198-F-83, college: UAB, currently plays in Belgium) led Limburg United to a 1-point victory over one of league's weakest teams Leuven Bears (10-26) 90-89 in the Belgian Euromillions League last Friday. Mukubu was MVP of the game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 10 rebounds. Mukubu also added 3 assists. Hubo Limburg United (16-20) is placed sixth in the Euromillions League. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This season Mukubu averages: 6.5ppg, 3.5rpg and 1.5apg. He has a dual citizenship: DR Congolese and Belgian.

#2. Henry Pwono (201-F-91, college: East Central, currently plays in Australia) could not help South West Metro Pirates (3-3) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his very good performance the sixth-placed South West Metro Pirates (3-3) were defeated 93-89 on the road by the second-ranked Mackay Meteors in the QBL group. Pwono recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and getting 11 rebounds. He also added 6 assists. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Pwono has reliable stats this year: 14.5ppg, 8.0rpg and 4.5apg. He is a naturalized American. Strangely Pwono has never played in DR Congo.

#3. Joel Kayinda Tshilumbu (203-PF-0, currently plays in Spain) contributed to an easy victory against the third-ranked Marbella (1-2) 88-71 in the Spanish EBA (fourth division) last Saturday. He scored 7 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group Final 1. Bierzo Fitness Dentomedic CDP Ponferrada (3-0) is placed first in Final 1 group. So far Ponferrada CDP won all three games in the Finals. Kayinda Tshilumbu's overall stats this season are: 6.3ppg, 6.1rpg and 1.1spg.
