Pau-Lacq-Orthez tabs Giovan Oniangue

Elan Bearnais Pau-Lacq-Orthez (Jeep ELITE ProA) inked 30-year old naturalized Congolese 196cm small forward Giovan Oniangue for upcoming season. Oniangue has played for the last two years at Entente Orleans 45. In 35 Jeep ELITE ProA games he averaged 9.9ppg, 2.9rpg, 1.3apg and 1.3spg last season.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.
Oniangue represented France at the Afrobasket Championships in Abidjan (Ivory Coast) eight years ago. His stats at that event were 5 games: 14.8ppg, 4.8rpg, 3.0apg, 1.8spg, FGP: 45.5%, 3PT: 26.8%, FT: 57.9%.
He has played previously for three other teams: Metropolitans, Gravelines Dunkerque and Boulazac Basket.
Among many awards his team made it to the French Cup final in 2018. Oniangue was voted to Afrobasket.com All-African Championships Honorable Mention back in 2013.
