Penarol lands Johndre Jefferson

Penarol-Mar-del-Plata (La Liga) tabbed experienced 34-year old American (has also Central African passport) 207cm power forward Johndre Jefferson (college: S.Carolina), agency: Inception Sports. Jefferson played last summer at Soles in Mexican LNBP. He managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year (!!!). In 6 LNBP games he averaged 4.0ppg, 4.0rpg and 1.0apg. The last season he played at Nacional in Uruguayan LUB where in 28 games he had 14.8ppg, 9.2rpg, 1.3apg and 1.4bpg. Jefferson can count that season as a very successful as was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Uruguay LUB Honorable Mention and League Player of the Week. He also played 6 games in BCL Americas where he recorded 8.8ppg, 6.2rpg and 1.0apg. Jefferson has been regularly called to Central African Senior National Team since 2018.
He is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in eleven different countries playing on five different continents. Jefferson is familiar with European, Asian, Latin American, African and of course North American leagues. He has played previously professionally in Croatia (Cibona), France (Chorale de Roanne), Greece (PAOK Thessaloniki), Israel (Maccabi Kiryat Gat and Elitzur Ramla), Italy (Trento), Lebanon (Champville), Morocco (AS Sale), Slovakia (Iskra Svit), Turkey (Konya BBSK and Afyon), IBL (Salem S.) and The Basketball Tournament (Overseas Elite). Jefferson won 3x TBT (The Basketball Tournament) championship title.
Among many awards he received Eurobasket.com All-Italian LNP Silver Player of the Year award and Eurobasket.com All-Italian LNP Silver Forward of the Year award back in 2014.
He graduated from University of South Carolina in 2011 and it will be his twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball. (via @basquetplus)
