PAOK Thessaloniki (A1) strengthened their roster with addition of 30-year old Central African international power forward Johndre Jefferson (207-102kg-88, college: S.Carolina, agency: Inception Sports). He supposed to play at Cibona in Croatian Premijer Liga, but left the team in Dec.'18. In 9 games he recorded 9.2ppg, 5.2rpg, 1.3spg and 1.0bpg this season. Jefferson also played 8 games in ABA League where he averaged 8.0ppg, 5.5rpg and 1.0bpg. The last summer he played at Overseas Elite in U.S. semi-pro league The Basketball Tournament. Jefferson helped them to win the league title.
Among other achievements he received Eurobasket.com All-Italian LNP Gold 2nd Team award back in 2015. Jefferson has been regularly called to Central African Senior National Team since 2018.
He is a very experienced player. Thanks to Jefferson's pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America) in six different countries. Jefferson has played previously professionally in Israel (Maccabi Kiryat Gat and Elitzur Ramla), Lebanon (Champville), Slovakia (Iskra Svit), Turkey (Konyaspor and Afyon Bld), Italy (Dolomiti Energia Trento) and IBL (Salem S.).
He attended University of South Carolina until 2011 and it is his eighth season in pro basketball.
