We bring you last week's top performances from Central Africans who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is former international power forward James Mays (205-86, college: Clemson, currently plays in South Korea). He led LG Sakers to a victory over one of league's weakest teams SK Knights (9-16) crushing them 87-65 in the South Korean KBL in Sunday night's game. Mays was MVP of the game. He had a double-double by scoring 27 points and getting 15 rebounds. Mays also added and 3 steals in 31 minutes on the court. Changwon LG Sakers (14-12) are placed fourth in the KBL. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Mays has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 27.1ppg, 13.8rpg, 1.7apg, 1.5spg, 2FGP: 55.7%(239-429), 3FGP: 27.0% and FT: 58.9% in 26 games he played so far. Mays is a naturalized American. He played for the Central African senior national team five years ago. Strangely Mays has never played in Central Africa.

   #2. Second place goes to an international small forward Max Kouguere (198-87, currently plays in France). He contributed to a Olympique Antibes' victory against the closely-ranked Provence Basket (4-10) 87-80 in the French ProA last Saturday. Kouguere scored 12 points and had 4 steals. Sharks Antibes (3-11) is placed 15th in the ProA. Kouguere's overall stats this season are: 5.8ppg, 2.2rpg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 32.0%, 3FGP: 39.6% and FT: 61.5%. He has a dual citizenship: Congolese and Central African. Kouguere is in the roster of the Central African senior national team.

   #3. The Central African player who performed third best last week abroad was an international power forward Jimmy Djimrabaye (202-92, currently plays in France). He could not help Quimper UJAP (3-7) to beat Nantes (4-6). Djimrabaye scored 6 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 27 minutes. Quimper UJAP lost 68-76 on the road to the higher-ranked (#9) Nantes. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. This year Djimrabaye's overall stats are: 6.9ppg, 3.7rpg, 2FGP: 40.5%, 3FGP: 42.9% and FT: 92.9%(26-28) in 10 games. He is also a member of the Central African senior national team.

   #4. Forward Saladine Ganda (203, currently plays in NAIA) was not able to help the La Sierra University (0-0) in their game against the Marian University, IN in the CalPac. Ganda's contribution was not very remarkable in Tuesday's game. He recorded only 3 points. his team was crushed 103-50 in Indianapolis by the Marian University, IN. Ganda's total stats this season are: 6.9ppg and 3.7rpg. He used to play for the Central African national team last year.

This week's number one is an experienced former international power forward James Mays (205-86). He could not help LG Sakers (27-23) in their last game. Ivory Coast are a victory away from qualifying for the FIBA World Cup after beating Rwanda 87-60, while Central African Republic's bid was ended by Nigeria on Saturday.
