JOHNDRE JEFFERSON
We bring you last week's top performances from Central Africans who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

Johndre Jefferson
Johndre Jefferson
#1. This week's number one is an international power forward Johndre Jefferson (207-88, agency: Inception Sports, college: S.Carolina, currently plays in ABA League). He led his Croatian team Cibona to a victory against one of league's weakest teams Mornar Bar (2-4) 84-73 in the ABA League in Sunday night's game. Jefferson had a double-double by scoring 15 points and getting 11 rebounds. He also added 4 blocks in 29 minutes on the court. KK Cibona VIP Zagreb (3-3) is placed sixth in the ABA League. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Jefferson's first year with the team. This season Jefferson averages: 9.8ppg, 5.8rpg, 2FGP: 56.7%(17-30) and FT: 62.5% in five games he played so far. He is a naturalized American. Jefferson is currently a member of the Central African senior national team. Strangely he has never played in Central Africa.

James Mays
James Mays
#2. Second place goes to former international power forward James Mays (205-86, college: Clemson, currently plays in South Korea). Mays led LG Sakers to a victory over the closely-ranked Samsung Thunders (3-6) 91-79 in the South Korean KBL last Tuesday. He was MVP of the game. Mays scored 40 points (!!!) and grabbed 8 rebounds. Changwon LG Sakers (5-4) are placed fifth in the KBL. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. But the season just started, so everything may happen. It's Mays' first year with the team. He has individually a very good season with high stats. Mays averages: 28.6ppg, 13.2rpg, 1.4apg, 1.4spg, 2FGP: 58.0%(87-150), 3FGP: 31.3% and FT: 50.7%. He is a naturalized American. Mays played for the Central African national team in 2013. Apparently he has never played in Central Africa.

Max Kouguere
Max Kouguere
#3. The Central African player who performed third best last week abroad was an international small forward Max Kouguere (198-87, currently plays in France). Kouguere could not help Olympique Antibes (2-6) to beat Chalons-Reims (5-3). He scored 9 points in 28 minutes. But Olympique Antibes lost 78-86 on the road to the much higher-ranked (#7) Chalons-Reims. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. This year Kouguere's overall stats are: 5.6ppg, 1.9rpg, 2FGP: 21.4%, 3FGP: 39.3% in eight games. He has a dual citizenship: Congolese and Central African. Kouguere is also a member of the Central African senior national team.

Jimmy Djimrabaye
Jimmy Djimrabaye
#4. Power forward Jimmy Djimrabaye (202-92, currently plays in France) managed to help Quimper UJAP to win against the closely-ranked Gries/Oberhoffen (1-3) 98-96 in the French ProB (second division) in Saturday night's game. He recorded only one point. Quimper UJAP (1-3) is placed 14th in the ProB. They ended the series of three consecutive loses. But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go. It's Djimrabaye's first season with the team. Djimrabaye's total stats this year are: 6.8ppg and 3.0rpg. He is also Central African national team player.
