We bring you last week's top performances from Central Africans who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

Romain Sato
Romain Sato
#1. This week's number one is an experienced former international swingman Romain Sato (195-81, college: Xavier, currently plays in Spain). He managed to help Valencia Basket in a victory against the closely-ranked FC Barcelona (22-10) crushing them 83-61 in the Spanish Liga Endesa in Saturday night's game. Sato recorded only 2 points in 13 minutes on the court. Valencia Basket (23-9) is placed third in the Liga Endesa. It's Sato's fourth season with the team. This year he averages: 5.7ppg, 2.4rpg, 2FGP: 45.7%, 3FGP: 34.9% in 31 games he played so far. Sato played for the Central African senior national team four years ago.

Max Kouguere

He contributed to a Olympique Antibes' victory against the ninth-ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (16-18) 79-71 in the French ProA last Tuesday. Kouguere recorded 6 points.    #3. The Central African player who performed third best last week abroad was former international power forward Maxime Zianveni (198-79, currently plays in France). Zianveni could not help Boulazac Basket (19-15) in their last game. Despite his good performance Boulazac Basket lost 68-75 on the road to the lower-ranked (#8) ALM Evreux. Zianveni recorded 10 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists in 25 minutes. They ended the series of three consecutive victories. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This year Zianveni's overall stats are: 7.2ppg, 4.9rpg, 1.9apg, 1.6spg, 2FGP: 60.7%(82-135), 3FGP: 36.4% and FT: 56.9% in 30 games.
