Here is the weekly review of the top performing Central African players, who play currently abroad.

Romain Sato
Romain Sato
#1. This week's number one is an experienced former international swingman Romain Sato (195-81, college: Xavier, currently plays in Spain). He managed to help Valencia Basket in a victory against the 11th-ranked Movil Estudiantes (13-19) 87-68 in the Spanish Liga Endesa in Wednesday night's game. Sato scored 5 points in 14 minutes on the court. Valencia Basket (23-9) is placed third in the Liga Endesa. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Sato's fourth season with the team. This year he averages: 5.8ppg, 2.4rpg, 2FGP: 45.7%, 3FGP: 36.1% in 30 games he played so far. Sato played for the Central African senior national team four years ago.

Max Kouguere

#2. Second place goes to former international small forward Max Kouguere (198-87, currently plays in France). He could not help Olympique Antibes (11-22) to beat Le Portel (18-15). Kouguere scored 8 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Olympique Antibes was defeated 80-65 on the road by the much higher-ranked Le Portel (#7). His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. It's Kouguere's first season with the team. Kouguere's overall stats this year are: 8.0ppg, 4.7rpg, 1.3apg, 2FGP: 44.8%, 3FGP: 38.5%. He has a dual citizenship: Congolese and Central African. Gravelines-Dunkerque lost 73-78 in Cholet to the lower-ranked (#11) Basket. His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is quite important.
