Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Central Africans who are currently playing abroad.

Max Kouguere
Max Kouguere
#1. This week's number one is former international small forward Max Kouguere (198-87, currently plays in France). He could not help Olympique Antibes (6-12) in their last game. Despite Kouguere's very good performance Olympique Antibes was badly defeated 86-67 on the road by the much higher-ranked (#5) Paris-Levallois. He was the top scorer with 19 points. Kouguere also added 8 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 38 minutes on the court. It's Kouguere's first season with the team. This year he averages: 7.1ppg, 4.4rpg, 1.3apg, 2FGP: 36.4%, 3FGP: 36.6% and FT: 88.9% in 12 games he played so far. Kouguere has a dual citizenship: Congolese and Central African. He played for the Central African senior national team two years ago.

Romain Sato
Romain Sato
#2. Second place goes to an experienced former international swingman Romain Sato (195-81, college: Xavier, currently plays in EuroCup). Sato managed to help Valencia Basket to win against the closely-ranked Cedevita (1-4) 71-58 in the Eurocup last Tuesday. He scored only 4 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Valencia Basket (5-0) is placed first in the Eurocup. So far his team won all five games in the Second Stage. They will play only one more game in the Eurocup Second Stage. And that game will be critical. Sato has been at the team for four years. Sato's overall stats this season are: 6.5ppg, 3.2rpg, 2FGP: 60.6%(20-33), 3FGP: 36.4% and FT: 66.7%. He played for the Central African national team in 2013.

James Mays
James Mays
#3. The Central African player who performed third best last week abroad was former international power forward James Mays (206-86, college: Clemson, currently plays in South Korea). Mays led LG Sakers to a victory over the second-ranked Anyang KGC (25-11) 81-74 in the South Korean KBL on Sunday night. He was MVP of the game. Mays had a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 14 rebounds in 34 minutes. Changwon LG Sakers (17-19) are placed seventh in the KBL. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Mays has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 22.5ppg, 11.9rpg, 2.7apg, 2.0spg, 2FGP: 52.3%, 3FGP: 23.3% and FT: 60.5% in 35 games. Mays is a naturalized American. He played for the Central African national team four years ago. Strangely Mays has never played in Central Africa.

Patrick O'Bryant
Patrick O'Bryant
#4. Center Patrick O'Bryant (213-86, college: Bradley, currently plays in Taiwan) was not able to help Fubon Braves (15-10) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his very good performance Fubon Braves were defeated 84-80 by the lower-ranked Pauian (#5). O'Bryant was the second best scorer with 22 points. He also added 9 rebounds and 4 blocks. O'Bryant has relatively good stats this season: 15.0ppg, 13.7rpg, 1.7apg and 3.3bpg. He is a naturalized American. O'Bryant used to play for the Central African national team back in 2013. Apparently he has never played in Central Africa.

Maxime Zianveni
Maxime Zianveni
#5. Former international power forward Maxime Zianveni (198-79, currently plays in France) was not able to secure a victory for Boulazac Basket (8-9) in their last game. Despite Zianveni's good performance Boulazac Basket was edged 61-60 in Boulogne-sur-Mer by the one of league's weakest teams (#17) SO Maritime Boulogne. He was the top scorer with 12 points. Zianveni also added 6 rebounds in only a mere 12 minutes. They ended the series of four consecutive victories. This year Zianveni's overall stats are: 7.0ppg, 5.1rpg, 2.1apg and 1.7spg in 17 games.
